It appears you do not already have a license key for MailMate and therefore you will get a license key when starting a subscription. The license key will ensure MailMate runs in “Paid Mode” for at least 3 months.
If you stop the subscription payments then your license key will continue to work for you, but MailMate will (eventually) switch into “Free Mode”.

Note: If you already have a license key then you can extend its lifetime instead of generating a new license key.
- Go to the “MailMate ▸ Registration” menu within one of your installs of MailMate and select your license key.
- Click “Update License” to start and go through the payment process.
- Finally, click “Update License” in each of your MailMate installations to update its license key.
