End User License Agreement

You MUST read this before using MailMate. If you do not agree with the conditions of this agreement then you CANNOT use MailMate. Most importantly, note the first requirement below.

Requirements

The user of MailMate is required to ensure that an adequate use of regular backup exists for any data handled by MailMate (server-side, client-side, or both). In particular, data includes any emails handled by MailMate.

Does MailMate work with my server?

MailMate is an IMAP email client and it works with most IMAP server implementations, but MailMate is provided with no guarantee that MailMate will will work with or continue to work with any specific IMAP server. In particular, some IMAP service providers have the ability to explicitly block access from specific email clients, including MailMate. In any case, if MailMate fails to work with a specific IMAP server, it does not entitle the user to any kind of compensation.

MailMate does NOT support Exchange using its native protocol.

Are there any warranties?

The primary purpose of an IMAP email client is to allow the user to read, write, organize, and delete emails. Deleting an email permanently in MailMate is a destructive action which cannot be reverted. Since IMAP is a protocol designed for synchronization, deleting an email also means that copies of the same email, on the server or in other email clients connected to the same account, will also be deleted. There are multiple ways to delete emails in MailMate, but it is the responsibility of the user of MailMate to ensure that important information is not lost.

In general, MailMate is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall the authors of MailMate be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, arising from, out of or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software. In particular, the user must comply with the backup requirement in this EULA such that any bugs or other issues in MailMate do not lead to the loss of important data.

What is the license key policy?

A license key is personal and can be used on all computers on which the license owner is the primary user.

A license key provides the user with full access to all features of MailMate.

A license key does NOT provide the user with unlimited user support. User support is handled only by email and only to a very limited extent. This includes the possibility of NO support at all.

What is the refund policy?

In general, a refund is provided whenever the user feels that MailMate does not behave as expected. Use “Help ▸ Send Feedback” within MailMate as soon as possible to request a refund. Technically, it’s only possible to refund recent payments, as in only a few months old.

Other things you should know

The conditions of this agreement could change in the future. Whenever this happens then the new agreement will be displayed to the user when launching the most recent update of MailMate. The user can reject the agreement by declining it and then uninstalling MailMate.
